Mark Hyde Named General Manager for
Dinah's Garden Hotel, Palo Alto, California

| PALO ALTO, CA, Dec. 18, 2006 - A former Hyatt executive
has returned to Dinah's Garden Hotel with ambitious plans to lead the property
into its second half-century as it celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2007.
Mark Hyde, once Dinah's Garden Hotel's Human Resources Director, brings
a range of hospitality experience to the position of General Manager.
"My passion has always been to provide excellent service to guests, achieving high employee morale and ensuring profitability for a hotel's ownership," says Hyde, a New England transplant. "Coming back to Dinah's is like a homecoming for me, and I am thrilled to carry on the tradition of excellence at this special property." Hyde is veteran of some of the world's most prominent branded properties, including the Westin Copley Plaza in Boston, the Four Seasons Hotel Boston, the Hyatt Regency Cambridge and the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport. His most recent position was as Director of Human Resources at the Holiday Inn San Jose, formerly the Hyatt San Jose. "I've been fortunate to learn something special about hospitality from each career post, and I hope to bring these lessons learned to Dinah's, this amazingly unique property that played a hospitality role in the growth of the Silicon Valley," said Hyde. After completing his Air Force enlistment after the first Gulf War, Hyde caught the hospitality bug in Boston. He used the GI Bill to attend the world-renowned Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he received a degree in Hospitality Management with honors. He also worked full-time while in school as a Food & Beverage Manager for the Johnson & Wales Inn and as an instructor for the Boston Bartending School of America, which is one of the first schools of its kind in the United States. |
