Carl Henderson as General Manager

(St. James, Barbados) - December 22, 2006 -  Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados is delighted to announce the appointment of Carl Henderson as General Manager.  Henderson joins Sandy Lane with over 20 years senior management experience within some of the leading luxury resorts around the world.  Most recently he was General Manager of Parrot Cay in Turks and Caicos. 
 
Commenting on the appointment of Carl Henderson, Michael Pownall, Chief Executive of Sandy Lane states, �Having now completed the task of strengthening our senior management team, I believe we have all the relevant luxury resort experience necessary to ensure we take Sandy Lane to new higher levels of success in the coming years. Carl is a highly experienced General Manager and we are delighted to welcome him to the team at Sandy Lane.�
 
Mr. Henderson brings with him a wealth of experience from within the luxury hospitality industry. He held the position of General Manager at Parrot Cay for three years and prior to that was Managing Director at Frégate Island Private in the Seychelles. In addition, he has held senior roles at Orient Express Trains and Cruises, Aman Resorts, Chewton Glen as well as being General Manager for the Royal Palaces at The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. 
 
Henderson is of British nationality and is married with two children.
