Larkspur Hospitality Acquires The Belamar Hotel
in Manhattan Beach, California
CORTE MADERA, Calif., Dec. 20, 2006 - Larkspur Hospitality announced today that it has acquired The Belamar Hotel in Manhattan Beach, California. The Belamar is the company's first hotel location in the Southern California area and their third acquisition in the last two months. In October, Larkspur purchased the Cartwright Hotel and earlier this month they acquired the Monticello Inn, both of which are located in downtown San Francisco.

"We are very pleased to be acquiring The Belamar Hotel, our first acquisition in the Los Angeles area," said Karl Hoagland, Chairman and CEO, Larkspur Hospitality. "Many Larkspur guests at our 19 hotels in California and the Pacific Northwest have been asking for hotels in other markets that they travel to, particularly Southern California, and we are now able to satisfy their desires by adding the Belamar to The Larkspur Collection. The Belamar is a fully-renovated four-star hotel that will serve both leisure and corporate travelers by virtue of its strategic location in Manhattan Beach, as well proximity to corporate business centers approximately 10 minutes south of LAX."

Conveniently located in the lively Manhattan Beach area ( 3501 N Sepulveda Blvd ) just one mile from the Pacific Ocean, The Belamar Hotel is also just two miles from Los Angeles International Airport and offers guests free shuttle service. Each of the hotel's 126 guest rooms and suites feature flat screen televisions, free High-Speed Internet access, 24 hour room service and in-room spa treatments. In addition to the outdoor swimming pool and spa, The Belamar offers a full service restaurant and lounge serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu has been described as "comfort food with a twist." The restaurant also features live music Thursday through Saturday evenings.

With four flexible meeting rooms consisting of just under 5,000 square feet, The Belamar Hotel can comfortably accommodate meetings of 8 to 200 people. Full service catering services and a full slate of audio-visual equipment is also available.
