Following Nine Month US $140 million Renovation |

KONG - September 28, 2006 � Nine months to the day since it closed for
a comprehensive US $140 million renovation, a traditional ceremony has
taken place to mark the reopening of the legendary Mandarin Oriental, Hong
Kong.
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Chief Executive, Edouard Ettedgui, the hotel�s General Manager, Peter French, Hong Kong socialite Christina Lee -- who officiated at the hotel�s original opening -- and world-renowned actress and Mandarin Oriental fan Maggie Cheung, cut the ribbon to declare the property officially open. �The date was selected on the advice of our Feng Shui master, as an auspicious time to begin this historic reopening,� said the hotel�s General Manager, Peter French. �Room by room and floor by floor, every last detail has been put into place in order to ensure its legendary status.
