Pegasus Global Commission Services Helps Boscolo Hotels
Enhance Travel Agent Loyalty and Amplify Brand
DALLAS (September 6, 2006) — Boscolo Hotels has signed an agreement with Pegasus Solutions, Inc. for its Global Commission Services to consolidate and distribute Boscolo’s commission payments to travel agents around the world. Additionally, Boscolo renewed its agreement with Pegasus for its RezView® central reservations system (CRS) and NetBooker® Internet booking engine. Boscolo Hotels manages 19 four- and five-star hotels across Europe. Dallas-based Pegasus Solutions is a global leader in providing technology and services to hotels and travel distributors.
The most technologically advanced commission processing service in the industry, Pegasus’ Global Commission Services give Boscolo the flexibility to pay its agency commissions through a variety of methods in the agents’ choice of more than 20 currencies. Roberto Boscolo, General Manager for Boscolo Hotels, said: “Pegasus’ Global Commission Services integrates directly with our property management system, which will allow us to have better control of commission payments. This new system will also eliminate the time-consuming manual process of dealing with commissions, which will help us be more efficient.”
Pegasus’ collection rates are significantly better than the industry average, with 81 percent of participating hotels paying their commissions within 90 days. Pegasus’ Global Commission Services represents more than 40,000 properties worldwide, including nearly every major hotel brand. More than 70,000 travel agencies in more than 200 countries subscribe to Pegasus’ Commission Processing service.

Pegasus’ RezView CRS connects Boscolo to all the global distribution systems, and to more than 1,000 online distributors. To complement these systems, Boscolo has also selected call center voice services from Pegasus, expanding the hotel’s global coverage. The NetBooker Internet booking engine provides real-time reservations direct from a Boscolo’s Web site into the RezView CRS. Boscolo has been a Pegasus customer since November 2003.
