Stay Connected on Base |
..
Atlanta,
GA August 11, 2006 -- Chenega Federal Systems, LLC, which is a services
provider to several branches of the US Military, has won a major contract
to manage technology installations at 16 bases across the country.
Chenega Federal, in partnership with ISP-provider AT&T Government Solutions,
has selected Atlanta-based StayOnline to provide High Speed Internet Access
(HSIA) for this significant contract. StayOnlines premier wireless HSIA
will ensure that officers visiting BOQs (Bachelor Officer Quarters) while
on duty can stay connected to their home bases and to family and friends.
The installations, scheduled to be complete in the next 6 months, involve more than 250 buildings and over 3,000 guest and meeting rooms at the following Air Force Bases (AFB): Barksdale AFB; Louisiana; Beale AFB, California; Cannon AFB, New Mexico; Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona; Dyess AFB, Texas; Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota; Holloman AFB, New Mexico; Langley AFB, Virginia: Minot AFB, North Dakota; Moody AFB, Georgia; Mountain Home AFB, Idaho; Nellis AFB, Nevada; Offutt AFB, Nebraska; Seymour-Johnson AFB, North Carolina; Shaw AFB, South Carolina; and Whiteman AFB, Missouri. In addition, StayOnlines wireless HSIA solution will installed in the Distinguished Visitors Quarters at each base and its widely-acclaimed 24/7/365 NOC support is also part of the contract award. According to officials at Chenega, Air Force Management has received many requests from its guests at US facilities, namely in billeting/BOQ/DVQ, to have wireless HSIA available. Its only natural that US Air Force officers in the field, who must travel frequently to other bases, expect to be able to connect seamlessly to their home bases, as well as to family and friends, said Antonio DiMilia, President and CEO of StayOnline. They are no different from the usual business and leisure travelers our solutions serve; in fact, we consider it an honor to be providing our service to such an important clientele and we want the experience of our military officers to be the same as you would expect in the better hotels across our great nation. Chenega Federal Systems was chosen for this award because of our reliable service to other Air Force Contracts and our detail in organizing a quick response to Air Force needs. Careful consideration was made as to Internet service provider (ISP) AT&T Government Solutions because they are a one-stop shop for all bases that are going wireless. We chose StayOnline to manage the wireless HSIA because of their unparalleled service to the hotel industry and excellent reputation in their field, said Michael Owens, Sr., Group Vice President, Chenega Federal Systems, LLC.
