Mark Ferland Appointed General Manager of the
584-room Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes

Orlando, FL � August 30, 2006 � Mark Ferland has been appointed general manager of the 584-room Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. 
 
As general manager Mr. Ferland will oversee all operations for The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando. A 24-year veteran of the hospitality industry who has been with The Ritz-Carlton family for 22 years, he will be responsible for maintaining the level of first-class service that is synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton brand. 
 
�We are extremely excited to have Mark join Grande Lakes Orlando,� said Steve Contos, vice president and managing director of Grande Lakes Orlando.  �With his background and extensive expertise with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Mark is well suited to our ongoing efforts to provide the top notch guest experience that our resort is known for.� 
 
Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando, Mr. Ferland was the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta.  Previously he was vice president of worldwide sales for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he was responsible for field sales of 55 hotels around the world and supervised international sales offices in 15 markets in the United States, Europe, Asia and North America.  He holds a degree in hotel restaurant management and marketing from the University of Massachusetts. 
 
Grande Lakes is located 15 minutes from the Orlando International Airport, five minutes from the Orlando/Orange County Convention Center and minutes from the major theme parks.
