fresh ideas
for hospitality

The Pineapple has been a symbol of hospitality for centuries. According to legend, captains of New England would mount a pineapple on their fence posts when they had a safe return from sea.  This served as an invitation for family and friends to visit and share a meal together.  Today, the pineapple serves as a symbol for the highest quality in hospitality

Springfields Krystal Aire Inn & Suites Introduces Another Fresh Idea
.
All Non-Smoking Hotel Installs Energy Efficient,
Odor-Neutralizing Light Bulbs

.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., August 15, 2006 --- Less than two years after opening as the first all non-smoking hotel in Missouris third-largest city, Springfields Krystal Aire Inn & Suites recently introduced yet another amenity designed to provide guests with even greater comfort during their staysspecially designed light bulbs that eliminate airborne odors.

The Fresh BulbTM light bulbs, developed by Aurora, Ohio-based Technical Consumer Products and introduced to the hospitality industry earlier this year by St. Charles, Mo.-based Pineapple Hospitality, Inc., are titanium dioxide-coated fluorescent light bulbs that consume one-fourth the wattage of a regular light bulbcutting lighting costs by as much as 77 percent.  The coating reacts with the fluorescent lighting when the bulb is turned on, eliminating room odors within minutes.

The spiral-shaped light bulbs have been installed in all 102 rooms and all common areas in the 102-unit Krystal Aire Inn & Suites hotel, which is located on the southwest corner of Interstate 44 and North Glenstone Avenue in northeast Springfield.

The Fresh Bulb light bulbs are yet another way we are serving health conscious travelers who demand the highest quality amenities and an excellent price value, said Bethany Martorana, general manager, Krystal Aire Inn & Suites.

Fresh Bulb ensures a higher quality guest experience by ensuring a well-lighted room that is free from odors, adds Ray Burger, president of Pineapple Hospitality.

The Krystal Aire Inn & Suites is owned by Drury Properties, Inc. and managed by Rolling Oaks Hospitality, Inc., both of Springfield.

The hotel has 95 double and king rooms and 7 suites, a conference room, fitness center and swimming pool.  In addition to a smoke-free environment, the hotel offers a hot breakfast served daily.  Each room is equipped with a work desk with ergonomically designed chair, speaker telephone with voice mail, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, 25-inch television and free high-speed wireless Internet access.  For reservations and information, visit the Krystal Aire Inn & Suites Web site at www.krystalaire.com or call (417) 869-0001.
