Director of Travel Industry Sales
LA QUINTA, Calif. – August 21, 2006 – Jason Kycek has rejoined KSL Resorts as corporate director of travel industry sales.  In his new position, Kycek will manage all travel industry-related activities for the KSL Resorts Collection, which includes the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, Calif., La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. and the recently acquired Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif.  Kycek will direct and review sales and marketing initiatives, establish new procedures for achieving increased leisure sales, choose new technologies to enhance sales revenue streams and oversee the collective integration of KSL’s travel industry market segments with travel agents, wholesalers and third party online partners.

“We are delighted to welcome Jason back to the KSL Resorts team,” said Arthur Berg, vice president of marketing, KSL Resorts.  “Jason’s success in the travel industry sales arena, and his prior achievements with KSL, make him the perfect candidate for the position.”

During his years in the hospitality industry’s luxury leisure market, Kycek has achieved an impressive track record.  He launched his career in 1999 as regional sales manager at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic.  During his three years at the resort, Kycek consistently exceeded sales goals and increased revenue by more than 30 percent.  He then joined KSL Resorts as director of travel industry sales for the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, FL, where he increased travel industry results by 35 percent and overall revenue by nearly 20 percent.

In 2004, Kycek was appointed corporate director of travel industry sales at KSL Resorts working closely with La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, Calif.  During his tenure with KSL Resorts, he oversaw an unprecedented increase in room revenue.  In 2006, Kycek joined the Waldorf=Astoria Collection as director of travel industry sales at La Quinta Resort & Club.  Six months later, he rejoined KSL Resorts.

Founded in 1992, KSL Resorts owns and operates one-of-a-kind destination resorts, including Hotel del Coronado (San Diego, Calif.), La Costa Resort and Spa (Carlsbad, Calif.), and Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa (Rancho Mirage, Calif.)  Each is a true American classic – refined yet unpretentious, rich in legacy, and genuine in service.  For more information, call 1-866-KSL-7727 or visit
