Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Mr. Azuan Noordin as
the new General Manager of The Mangosteen Resort & Spa effective from
1 August 2006.

(L - R) Azuan Noordin and Hajo Von Keller Malaysian by birth Mr. Azuan Noordin holds a BS (Honours) degree in Hospitality Administration from well recognized and reputable Cornell University, Ithaca City , New York School of Hotel Administration . He also hold a Diploma of Hotel and Catering Management from Malaysian most productive of successful hotelier school MARA University of Technology, Shah Alam, MALAYSIA . Apart of this he holds several professional certified certificates from American Hotel and Motels Associations (AH&MA) During his 19 years career Mr. Noordin spent decade working around the continent with several international chain hotels such Hilton , Holiday Inn , The Pan Pacific , Waldorf Astoria, Best Western and a few other independence hotel and resort property in Asia . Prior to his appointment , Mr Noordin was the Group General Manager of Baan Yin Dee Boutique Resort a member of Boutique Hotels and Resorts international for 3 years . In making the announcement Mr Hajo said � Azuan has already been well introduce on the Phuket�s hotel niche market and also on the property development and I am delighted that we are able to fill this key role through a person who are used to the emerging Phuket hospitality growing market. He has demonstrated a keen innate management ability which he will be able to put to good use as towards the brand concept of The Mangosteen Resorts group and continues it efforts to spread it brand name to several properties around Asia in the coming years . Especially with the recent appointment of the The Mangosteen Group to turn The Sand Nai Harn, Phuket a 32 units condominium property into a boutique resort style managed property .This marks the beginning of this development and plus with existing successful property project on going progress of The Mangosteen Pool Villas and The Mangosteen Suites Estate which schedule to start by 4th Quarter 2006. Mr Noordin commented � I am honored to have been offered the opportunity to manage and assist the sole owner cum developer in achieving his dream . I am extremely excited by the future opportunities and challenges that awaits. With Phuket almost fully recovered from the effects of the tsunami and the buoyant Phuket property market , the future prospects for both Phuket and the Mangosteen Group are looking very encouraging. |
