Gail Gerber Named Director of Sales and Marketing

the New InterContinental San Francisco Adjacent
to the Moscone Convention Center

San Francisco August 2006: The InterContinental Hotels Group
has appointed Gail Gerber as Director of Sales and Marketing for the new
InterContinental San Francisco currently under construction adjacent to
the Moscone Convention Center. Gail was most recently the Director of Sales
and Marketing for the InterContinental Mark Hopkins for the past 2 1/2
years and has over 17 years of selling experience in the hotel industry.
She started her career in the hospitality business by working at hotels
in Southern California, then spent 12 years on the east coast working at
a variety of hotels including the Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore, the Hyatt
Regency Crystal City and the Omni Shoreham in Washington, D. C. where
she worked for over 5 years . A native of Southern California, Gail graduated
from the University of California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor's of Arts
degree in English.
The InterContinental San Francisco is located on Howard and 5th, next
to Moscone West. Upon completion, the hotel will tower 32 stories above
the heart of the City. Scheduled to open in January 2008 , it will feature
550 rooms, 14 suites, 43 ,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space with natural
light, a ten-room treatment spa, full-service fitness center, and an indoor
pool.
