In 1978, after her graduation with a BA (Education) from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Stinebert began her career as a sales manager with the Hyatt Regency Monterey, California.  Two years later, she moved to the Hyatt on Union Square, San Francisco, as senior sales manager.  In 1981 she arrived at the Hyatt Worldwide Sales Office, Washington, D.C. as regional sales manager for national accounts.  The next step in her career path led to United Airlines, Washington, D.C.  In 1982 she was appointed regional convention sales manager for the airline�s emergence into the association convention travel market.  Following two years with Conference Air Direct, Alexandria, Virginia, Stinebert was named director, Washington, D.C. office of the Seattle Convention & Visitors Bureau, a position she held from 1986 until the present.
