 Benchmark Appoints Dan Santiago General Manager at
North Maple Inn, Basking Ridge, New Jersey

The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, May 25, 2006 - Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Dan Santiago to the position of general manager for the Four Diamond North Maple Inn of Basking Ridge, New Jersey.  Ellen Sinclair, vice president, made the announcement.

"It is with great pleasure that I announce the promotion of Dan to general manager for Benchmark Hospitality at North Maple Inn," stated Ms. Sinclair.  "He is a proven leader, knows the property intimately, and has been an important part of its success over the years.  We congratulate him on his new role!"

Mr. Santiago was previously Benchmark's controller for North Maple Inn, a position he held since 1989.  While controller, Santiago strategically managed the transition process with property ownership changes and led his department with distinct professionalism.  Prior to this, Santiago was assistant controller at The Forrestal of Princeton, New Jersey, a hotel and conference center that Benchmark repositioned and operated at the time. 

Dan Santiago has also been called upon by Benchmark to serve on multiple special task forces during property transitions and openings, helping ensure the company's culture and systems were implemented and supported at each new location. 

Earlier in his career, Santiago served as accounting manager for the landmark New York Palace Hotel, located in Midtown Manhattan.  He also worked at The Doral Inn (now W New York) in positions of increasing responsibility. 

Mr. Santiago and his family reside in Lambertville, New Jersey.
