NEW YORK, NY (June 14, 2006) -- Jonathan M. Tisch, Chairman & CEO of Loews Hotels was selected and honored as the recipient of the 13th annual Frank W. Berkman Tourism Achievement Award by the Big Apple Chapter of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI). The award was created in 1994 by the Past Presidents� Council of the HSMAI Chapter to recognize those individuals or organizations that have made a significant contribution to the travel and tourism industry in New York City. The award was named for Frank W. Berkman who, for 16 years, was the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of HSMAI. . Jonathan Tisch (left) receives the Frank W. Berkman. The Big Apple Chapter of HSMAI recognized Jonathan Tisch with this award at a black-tie dinner held on Tuesday, June 6, 2005. With a strong focus on education, HSMAI has become the industry champion in identifying and communicating trends in the hospitality industry, and bringing together customers and members at eight annual events, including HSMAI�s Affordable Meetings, and the HSMAI World Quest events.
