BOSTON - June 14, 2006 -- Hilton Hotels (NYSE:HLT) has announced that Boston's first skyscraper is playing a role in today's news by becoming the Hilton Boston Financial District, an upscale 362-room hotel that serves as a beacon for the exciting redevelopment of the neighborhood. Built in 1928 and located at 89 Broad Street, the Hilton Boston Financial District sits at the heart of the city's Crossroads Initiative, which aims to make Boston an even more pedestrian-friendly city. Broad Street is the first of 12 streets earmarked for improvement, beautification and re-development by Mayor Thomas Menino and the Boston Redevelopment Authority. The hotel is steps to Boston's premier financial institutions and one block to the waterfront. Neighbors include Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Post Office Square, Downtown Crossing, the Freedom Trail and the New England Aquarium, making it an ideal destination for a weekend getaway filled with shopping, dining and touring.

The Hilton Boston Financial District is owned and operated by W-Boston, LLC under a franchise license agreement with Hilton Inns, Inc., a franchising subsidiary of Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corporation. The hotel is managed by Columbia Sussex Corporation.

"The Hilton Boston Financial District continues our legacy of offering hotels of cultural and historical significance that are designed to help our guests enjoy all of the enriching experiences that travel can offer," said Jeff Diskin, senior vice president, Hilton brand management. "We are proud to welcome this landmark hotel into the Hilton brand."

Designed by the artist and architect Harold Field Kellogg, the 14-story art deco gem is known for its innovative use of color, texture and height. Thirty-eight shades of brick comprise the exterior, beginning with a dark brown at the base and progressing to a light buff at the top. The shaded brick creates an enhanced sense of height and light, lending the impression that the sun is always shining on the building.

Underscored by arched entries and decorative terra cotta, the building features artwork that symbolizes America's progress in the Industrial Age, including an eagle, a covered wagon, the Saugus Iron Works, two locomotives, an oil rig and an airplane. The decorative terra cotta continues to the third and fourth floors of the central tower, depicting Boston's sacred cod, a bean pot and the Book of Learning. The art deco style carries into the lobby and library of the hotel with sconces, brass detailing and the original terrazzo floor.

Each of the 362 spacious guestrooms, of which 67 are suites, is furnished with the new Hilton Serenity Bed, which features the Serta Suite Dreams(R) mattress and box springs, Pacific Coast(R) down duvet, Super Topper mattress pads, and high-quality linens and pillows. All rooms also have the Hilton Serenity Bath Collection, featuring the exclusive Crabtree & Evelyn line of La Source(R) bath amenities, and the easy-to-set Hilton Family alarm clock with MP3 player connectivity.

The hotel offers wired high-speed internet in the guestrooms, wireless internet (WiFi) in public areas and a state-of-the-art business center. Fitness-conscious guests can take advantage of the fitness center and the Hilton Eat Right(R) menu, which offers delicious and nutritionally-balanced meal options.

Caliterra is the hotel's dining room, featuring a lively after-work lounge and dinner destination. Offering specialties from Italy's most bountiful regions, the menu bursts with flavor and regional flair. Caliterra also offers a private dining room and an extensive wine list. The hotel offers 10,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 1,900 square-foot ballroom and individual meeting and dining rooms that can be configured to accommodate from eight to 200 guests.

The Hilton Boston Financial District is located in at 89 Broad Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02110. Phone: 617-556-0006.
