 Global Events Partners (GEP) Announces
Management Promotion, Addition

- Dawn Barbeau promoted to Vice President of Sales in GEP�s Chicago office - 
- Gabrielle Etrog named Sales Manager at GEP New York -

New York, N.Y. (June, 2006)�Global Events Partners (GEP), a worldwide partnership of destination management companies, is further enhancing its sales and service capabilities in two key U.S. offices, thanks to the promotion of Dawn Barbeau, a senior GEP professional in Chicago, and the addition of Gabrielle Etrog as sales manager in New York. 

Barbeau Promoted in Chicago

Dawn Barbeau, who joined GEP less than a year ago as Director of Sales, Chicago, has been promoted to Vice President of Sales in GEP�s Chicago regional office.

Chris White, GEP�s Chairman and CEO, said, �I am proud to recognize Dawn�s promotion to Vice President of Sales at GEP.� He concluded, �In a relatively short time, Dawn has demonstrated skill and polish as a sales and service professional; has gained the admiration of GEP�s partners and clients, and has helped increase business significantly in important Midwest markets such as Chicago, the Chicago suburbs, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. We look forward to her continued growth with our organization.�

Barbeau joined GEP in 2005, bringing more than a dozen years of management experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to coming to GEP, she held management positions with companies including Hilton Hotels, Starwood, Wyndham and Loews Hotels. She is active in numerous industry organizations, including as PCMA, CCTB, and MPI.
 
Etrog Appointed in New York

White also announced the appointment of Gabrielle Etrog to the position of sales manager in GEP�s New York office. 

He said, �I am pleased to welcome Gabrielle, a talented young professional whose background and drive make her a perfect fit for GEP New York.� He concluded, �We look forward to her rapid growth and contributions to our partners and clients.�

As sales manager, Etrog will support GEP�s domestic and international partner DMCs, and will play an integral role in coordinating partner and client outreach in the New York office.

A graduate of Syracuse University and currently completing a graduate degree in tourism and travel management at New York University, Etrog brings strong client relationship and sales experience gained at Club Med, Mexico, and other industry-related and service organizations.
