Doubletree Brand Following $2 Million Renovation
DALLAS - June 1, 2006 -- Doubletree(R) Hotels (NYSE:HLT) proudly announces the debut of the Doubletree Hotel Dallas Market Center with the excitement of a $2 million, multi-phase enhancement project. From luxurious, new beds to refreshed public areas, the project is rejuvenating the hotel's 228 guest rooms and 7,000 square feet of meeting space with its first property-wide cosmetic upgrade in nearly 10 years.
Formerly a Wyndham(R) hotel, the Doubletree Hotel Dallas Market Center is owned by Market Center Lodging, L.P.; operated under a franchise agreement with Doubletree Hotel Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation; and managed by Axis Hospitality, Inc.
"Doubletree is proud to bring another great upscale, full-service hotel within walking distance of the world's largest wholesale merchandise resource in the world. The strategic location of the Doubletree Hotel Dallas Market Center complements and reinforces our brand's presence and potential further growth in the Dallas Metroplex market," said Dave Horton, senior vice president - brand management for Doubletree Hotels.
"All of our team members are proud to continue our longstanding tradition of pampering our guests with impeccable service and true Texas hospitality as the newest Doubletree hotel addition in Dallas," said Jason Dinkens, hotel general manager. "We're even more excited that our guests will now be rewarded with one of the best travel reward programs available today. But now, they'll also receive the added bonus of a newly refreshed guestroom experience and the warm welcome of the legendary warm Doubletree chocolate chip cookie welcome at check-in."
Ideally situated just 5 miles from Love Field and 10 miles from Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport, the Doubletree Hotel Dallas Market Center is located just minutes from the American Airlines Center, Infomart, Dallas Convention Center, the Dallas Aquarium and the West End Entertainment District. All guestrooms and public areas at the Doubletree Hotel Dallas Market Center have been updated with new carpet, wall coverings and contemporary furnishings. By incorporating a comforting color palette of golds and browns, the redesigned hotel experience has proven to be warm and inviting to guests staying at their home away from home. Bathrooms have been transformed to incorporate granite countertops, marble accents, enhanced lighting and curved shower rods, thereby bringing the comforts of home to the hotel room. Just as important, guests will enjoy the luxurious Sweet Dreams(R) by Doubletree Sleep Experience with triple-sheeted down duvets and an abundance of plush pillows for a great night's sleep.
Important conveniences for business travelers include large workspaces, Herman Miller(R) ergonomic desk chairs, two-line cordless phones, wireless and wired high-speed Internet access and remote, secure in-room printing services in every guestroom. And several of the hotel's guestrooms and suites have balconies that overlook the Dallas skyline.
