Woodlands (Houston), Texas, April 6, 2006 - Benchmark Hospitality International
has announced the appointment of Bryan Forsythe as general manager for
Berry Hill Plantation Resort, located in South Boston, Virginia.
Ellen Sinclair, vice president, made the announcement.
"It is with great pleasure that I announce the promotion of Bryan Forsythe to the position of general manager for Benchmark at the historic Berry Hill Plantation Resort," stated Ms. Sinclair. "Bryan has served in several positions of responsibility within the company, always delivering excellence. He is a great ambassador of the Benchmark culture." Mr. Forsythe was previously director of operations for Stonewall Resort, Benchmark's 198-guestroom property located in Roanoke, West Virginia. In this position, he oversaw all areas of the resort's operations, ensuring superior facilities and exemplary service delivery. He was instrumental in the resort achieving Four Diamond status. Forsythe's first position at Stonewall Resort was as food & beverage director. Additionally, Bryan Forsythe has provided leadership within the Benchmark organization as field staff support. In this capacity he worked directly with Benchmark's vice president of food & beverage supporting, training and educating staff at properties throughout the company's portfolio. For two years Bryan Forsythe served as food & beverage director at Canaan Valley Resort of Davis, West Virginia. During this period he oversaw the development and opening of a 400-seat ski lodge restaurant and bar. Forsythe began his hospitality career at Benchmark's east coast flagship, Lansdowne Resort, located near Leesburg, Virginia. While at Lansdowne he assumed positions of increasing responsibility, eventually becoming manager of the resort's Riverside Hearth and Stonewalls Tavern. Bryan Forsythe is a graduate of Frederick College, located in Frederick, Maryland. He is relocating to South Boston with his family.
