LodgeWorks, L.P., Parent Company of the Sierra Suites Hotel Chain,
Opens Sixth Property in Fishkill, New York
.

WICHITA, Kan.   March 8, 2006 - Sierra Suites® Hotels is creating a buzz in Poughkeepsie-Fishkill, NY. LodgeWorks, L.P., parent company of the Sierra Suites Hotel chain, will open the doors to its newest next-generation hotel Tuesday, March 14, 2006. The objective, developers say, is an unrivaled hotel experience.

Sierra Suites Poughkeepsie-Fishkill (100 Westage Business Center Drive, Fishkill, NY) is a fresh interpretation of what we think todays business and leisure traveler desires in a hotel, says Cheryl Doll, vice president of Marketing and Distribution for LodgeWorks. It has a great location and a fresh, contemporary style. Service is still refreshingly personal. And its loaded with amenities to allow our guestsbusiness and leisureto live their best life while they travel.

While one of the marks of a Sierra Suites Hotel is a strong regional aesthetic, the company remains committed to its own, branded attitude and seamless attention to its guests.

We are a hotel company that wakes up thinking about how to merge style and functionality, how to be a little bit aspirational at the same time were inviting our guests to kick off their shoes, lay down their laptop and stay awhile. The driver of every decision is empathy.

With the opening of Sierra Suites Poughkeepsie-Fishkill, guests will find that attitude expressed through an amenity package that makes it easy to maintain daily routines.

In addition to traditional guest rooms, the hotel offers generous one- and two-bedroom suites with kitchens. A 24-hour on-site convenience store, expanded exercise room with cardio stations and weight training, gourmet coffee and complimentary breakfast with hot items are staples. The Sierra Café and Bar will also play host to a complimentary weekday social hour with beer, wine and hors doeuvres. An extended cash bar is a new feature, according to Doll.

Were focused on taking the guest from wired to wineglass, she says, offering a continuum of amenities from free, wired and wireless high-speed internet access to a complimentary, multi-station business center to conference suites and a meeting room for up to 200 to a comfortable spot in the bar in front of a large, flat screen TV when the lights go down.

LodgeWorks Fact Sheet

The Sierra Suites® hotel chain was founded by Rolf E. Ruhfus, B. Anthony (Tony) Isaac and others in 1996. Ruhfus and his partners pioneered extended-stay lodging with the development of the Residence Inn® concept (which was later sold to Marriott) and the upscale Summerfield Suites® hotel chain (which was sold to Wyndham International in March 2000 and subsequently to Global Hyatt in January 2006).

LodgeWorks, L.P. is the Wichita, Kan.-based management and development company that owns and operates the Sierra Suites hotel chain. Ruhfus and his partners founded LodgeWorks, L.P. in March 2000 re-launching the partnership with the buy-back from Wyndham of the Sierra Suites hotel brand and the management contracts for nine Summerfield Suites hotels which were owned by LodgeWorks affiliates. LodgeWorks also manages a Hawthorn Suites® hotel located in Dallas-Arlington, TX.

In May 2005, LodgeWorks sold 16 first-generation Sierra Suites Hotels to Spartanburg, South Carolina-based Extended Stay Hotels. The hotels included in the purchase were re-flagged Extended Stay DeluxeSM and are located in Phoenix, AZ; Pleasanton and San Jose, CA; Orlando, FL; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Piscataway, NJ; Washington D.C.-Virginia; and Seattle, WA.

The five hotels that remain in the Sierra Suites collection were designed as flagship locations for the brands next-generation launch. The properties are located in Atlanta-Alpharetta, GA; Branchburg and Parsippany, NJ; and San Ramon and Santa Clara, CA. The sixth location will open in Poughkeepsie-Fishkill, NY, on March 14, 2006.

Todays Sierra Suites offer a fresh, upscale hotel experience. A thoughtful blend of contemporary design, casual comfort and regional aesthetic make each hotel truly one of a kind. Best of all, Sierra Suites allow guests to live their best life while they travel. Spacious suites and rooms are stylish and functional. Hotel amenities make it easy to maintain daily routines. And service is refreshingly personal.

Sierra Suites Poughkeepsie-Fishkill will open in the Westage Business Center at the intersection of Interstate 84 and Route 9, a short distance to IBM and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Hotel staff, under the supervision of General Manager Howard Gerhardt, are available to give tours by appointment prior to opening.
