March 6, 2006 - The Kahala Hotel and Resort (www.kahalaresort.com),
formerly the Mandarin Oriental Kahala, a Five Diamond property, selected
Blue Square Studios and its Hospitality ToolkitTM to ease its online brand
transition from the hotel chain to a luxury, independent hotel. Landmark
Hotels Group, the resort's management company, selected Blue Square Studios
(www.bluesqstudios.com) over
competitors on the basis of the functionality of their HospitalityToolkitTM
product suite and its ease of use.
Clearly our challenge in moving from brand affiliation to independence is maintaining occupancy and rate, said Glynis Esmail, Vice President of Landmark Hotels Group. Blue Square Studios has demonstrated that they not only understand what that takes, but have these amazing tools and unique industry e-commerce expertise to guide us through achieving and even exceeding our performance benchmarks. We view Blue Square Studios as our partners in the inauguration of The Kahala Hotel & Resort as an independent. We have significant experience with handling exactly this type of situation, said Shane Ettestad, President & CEO of Blue Square Studios. Our HospitalityToolkitTM provides the power to a number of other management groups and hotels to easily manage their web presence and e-marketing campaigns onsite or remotely. Blue Square Studios recently received both an HSMAI Golden Click and a Web Marketing Association WebAward for its HospitalityToolkitTM application in the conversion of the Portola Plaza Hotel from brand to independent operation. Leading Hotels of the World has also just named Blue Square Studios to its Leading Service Provider Network. About The Kahala Hotel & Resort:
