SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Feb. 28, 2006 -- The California Hotel & Lodging
Association announced the Stars of the Industry award winners today in
conjunction with the California Lodging Industry Legislative Awareness
Summit held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento, California. The
Stars of the Industry awards, presented by USA TODAY, were given for employee,
manager, and general manager of the year, as well as the lodging property
achievement awards for community service and guest relations excellence.
For Outstanding Lodging Employee of the Year, the winners were
Lodging property achievement awards for Customer Service were given to the Glorietta Bay Inn in Coronado and the Hilton Long Beach & Executive Meeting Center, while the Glorietta Bay Inn won its third Stars of the Industry award in the Guest Relations category. The California Hotel & Lodging Association is very proud of these award winning members," said James O. Abrams, President & CEO of CH&LA. "Our hat is off to these employees and properties for their excellent and noteworthy contributions to the industry."
