Columbia Sussex Rebrands the Wyndham Buttes Resort in Tempe, Arizona to
The Buttes, A Marriott Resort; A Multi-million dollar Renovation
Planned for 353-room Resort

March 28, 2006 - Marriott International, Inc. today announced that the Wyndham Buttes Resort in Tempe, Ariz. has become The Buttes, A Marriott Resort. Nestled on a 25-acre mountaintop overlooking the city of Phoenix, the resort is located at 2000 Westcourt Way. A multi-million dollar renovation is planned by the property's owner and operator, Columbia Sussex Corporation of Fort Mitchell, Ky. The 353-room resort will feature Marriott's luxurious new bedding and the new Narande Spa; offering manicures, pedicures, massages and the signature five-step skin treatment, the Narande Redflower Ritual.

All guestrooms feature Marriott's new, more luxurious Revive(R) bedding with plusher mattresses, softer sheets and more pillows. Replacing the traditional hotel bedspread is a down comforter nestled inside sheeted duvets, which will be freshly laundered for each new guest. The stylized bedding features 300-thread-count, cotton-rich, white top and fitted bottom sheets and is accented with euro shams, a decorative bed scarf and bolster. Other in- room amenities include a workspace with ergonomic desk and chair, high-speed wireless Internet access, telephone with data port and speaker phone, coffee maker, iron with ironing board, and cable TV with premium channels.

The resort offers a variety of food and beverage options. Top of the Rock, the resort's signature restaurant, offers upscale American cuisine and is open for dinner and Sunday brunch. Market Cafe offers classic cafe fare and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thirsty Cactus Bar & Grill offers gourmet burgers and sandwiches during lunch, and Tequila on the Rocks bar is open in the evenings and offers live entertainment on Saturdays.

The Buttes, A Marriott Resort is ideal for business and social occasions, offering a total of 9,000 square feet of well appointed meeting space. Technological capabilities include high-speed Internet access in all meeting rooms and comprehensive audiovisual facilities. A 24-hour business center is also available to meet guests' needs.
