Brussels, January 2006—Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, the first-class, full-service international brand of Rezidor SAS Hospitality, announces the opening of the Radisson SAS Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. The newly-built 120-room hotel offers a modern and stylish design with views of the Bosphorus strait.
The hotel is built on the banks of the Bosphorus strait, which joins the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea. With  views of the strait and the world’s largest suspension bridge which links Europe and Asia, the new property is located at one of the most exclusive addresses in Istanbul.
Philippe Pellaud, general manager of the hotel, says, “Radisson SAS is well known internationally by its brand values and high service level. We promise to provide genuine warm hospitality with the renowned ‘Yes I Can’ attitude and aim to deliver ‘100 Percent Guest Satisfaction’ by being a new and distinctive hotel choice for the city of Istanbul.”

The hotel is located within walking distance of the well-known Ortakoy shopping street, close to major business centers and downtown Istanbul.  It is only 15 minutes away from the old city, which features the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Besiktas Stadium and the Grand Bazaar.  The hotel also offers easy access to the Asian side of the city by ferry.
The Radisson SAS Bosphorus Hotel features 89 standard rooms, 20 business class rooms, 11 junior suites and two rooms for guests with special needs.  The hotel combines elegance and comfort with artwork from the various regions of Turkey.  With a warm combination of green, brown and orange hues throughout the hotel, guests can feel completely at home. The guest rooms offer high-tech interactive flat-screen televisions, and free broadband internet access is available throughout all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel.  Additionally, the hotel’s Wellness and Beauty Center offers a hair salon, Turkish Hamam, sauna, and solarium.
Decorated with brown, red and green colors, the StarBoard Café Terrace and Cruise Lounge lobby bar offer a comfortable and cozy environment for hotel guests looking to relax. The Lodos Terrace, located on the fourth floor, offers views of the Bosphorus strait during the summer months and can be used for private events.
The hotel’s meeting facilities include two conference rooms, a presentation room and a 2,583 square foot main meeting hall, all equipped with the latest technology.
Radisson SAS has two additional hotels in Turkey in Ankara and at Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport.
