  InterContinental Hotels Group Names Ronen Nissenbaum, Regional Vice President
Operations, South Central Region for InterContinental Hotels

ATLANTA (Jan. 26, 2006) - InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), has named Ronen Nissenbaum, Regional Vice President Operations, South Central Region for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts.
 
In his new role, Mr. Nissenbaum oversees operations at InterContinental properties located in Austin, Dallas, Houston and New Orleans.  He also continues to serve as general manager of the brand's flagship property, the InterContinental Buckhead.  Under Nissenbaum's leadership, the InterContinental Buckhead opened ahead of schedule and under budget and recently completed a very successful first year of operation. 
 
With more than 20 years in the hospitality industry, Nissenbaum joined InterContinental Hotels Group in 1996 as manager for the InterContinental in Paris. During his tenure in Paris, he was responsible for the $60 million refurbishment program for this landmark property. Nissenbaum has also served as general manager for the 1,007-room Forum Hotel in Berlin, as well as the InterContinental David Tel Aviv which he opened in 1999 and was responsible for achieving its position as one of Israel's top hotels. 
 
Nissenbaum began his hospitality career in Switzerland. He later joined Forte Hotels and then Disneyland Paris, where he held roles of increasing responsibility over the years earning him senior executive positions at various hotels throughout Europe.
