Former Wyndham-Controlled Hotels Install Profitvue®
Back Office to Improve Accounting

Properties Previously Operated by Wyndham Install Aptech
Accounting to Support Independent Operations
.
PITTSBURGH, January 19, 2006 Aptech Computer Systems, Inc., a leading hospitality solutions company, announced that the recent trend of Wyndham turnovers resulted in three properties formerly operated by Wyndham installing the Profitvue® back office system for financial accounting and decision support by new ownership.  The hotels implementing Profitvue are the Harbor View Hotel and Kelley House, both in Marthas Vineyard, Massachusetts, and the Grand Bay Hotel in Miami, Florida.

Since Wyndham International changed hands in August 2005, acquisitions of Wyndham hotels are driving a growing number of Profitvue implementations.  Many incoming operators are selecting Aptech to bring properties quickly online with standardized hospitality financials.  The former Wyndham Grand Bay Hotel was acquired by the Miami-based Merco Group and is currently operating as a 177-room independent luxury hotel in the Coconut Grove area of Miami.  Merco Group installed the Profitvue system in November immediately after the property changed ownership.  Additionally, the 130-room full-service Harbor View Hotel and the 60-room Kelley House in Marthas Vineyard, which until recently operated under a management contract with Wyndham Luxury Resorts, will install Profitvue in January 2006.

When properties leave the Wyndham organization they are removed from the chains corporate back office accounting system.  One of the first steps incoming owners take is to install a financial system they are familiar with to facilitate a smooth transition process.

Aptech Director of Sales, Cam Troutman said, The Profitvue back office system is designed specifically for the hotel industry and used by many hotel companies.  Owners and management companies select Profitvue because they trust Aptechs installation and support teams to understand their business.  We know how to migrate data from existing back office and property management systems and quickly convert it for standard financials and reporting. Troutman noted that generic accounting software does not provide standard hotel reports for RevPAR and ADR, concepts which are not used in any other industry.

Profitvue, used by over 500 properties, is a thin-client, Web-enabled hospitality back office solution that easily handles single or multi-property and multi-company accounting, and incorporates accounts payable, general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, and financials.  Profitvue gives users the tools to make well-informed business decisions based on current, accurate operations data.  Department managers and corporate executives benefit from Profitvues integrated decision support, statistical and financial reporting.  The system provides open database compliance (ODBC) within a scaleable, client/server, open systems architecture and is available as an ASP service or on a licensed basis.

Aptech also provides the Execuvue business intelligence system.  Execuvue is a Cognos-based Internet-enabled enterprise business intelligence application for large and small hotel companies that coordinates data from various corporate systems, including Smith Travel Research, into accessible information with familiar Windows simplicity.  Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Concord Hospitality, Innkeepers Hospitality, Winston Hotels, Inc., Peabody Hotel Group, Hershey Entertainment and other successful companies use Execuvue business intelligence.
