Mintek Mobile Data Solutions Returns to Hasek Communications for 2006; 
Ohio-Based Firm Will Provide Full Slate of Public Relations Services

DUNEDIN, FLA .— January 24, 2005 — Mintek Mobile Data Solutions, the lodging industry’s leading provider of automated solutions for preventive maintenance and asset management, has selected Hasek Communications as its public relations representative for 2006. Cleveland, Ohio-based Hasek Communications is led by Glenn Hasek, president, who has more than 12 years of lodging industry experience.

Hasek Communications has represented Dunedin, Fla.-based Mintek since September 2003. The company has been successful in helping to generate publicity for Mintek in myriad print and online publications—Hotel & Motel Management, Hotel Business, Hotels, AAHOA Lodging Business and others. In partnership with Cleveland, Ohio-based QDesign, Hasek Communications also has assisted Mintek with development and design of promotional material, as well as a quarterly newsletter for its lodging and cable industry businesses.

Both Companies Introduce New Products

Both Mintek and Hasek Communications have generated significant news in the past year. In June, Mintek rolled out Work Order Kiosk at HITEC. The browser-based system enables any employee in a hotel with PC access to submit a work order and monitor its status. In September, Mintek was ranked one of the top 500 software companies in the world by Software Magazine. The company also just announced the 700th installation of its cable industry Subscriber Equipment Tracking System (SETS)—a Time Warner Cable warehouse in Findlay, Ohio. 

In November, at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show in New York, Hasek Communications introduced Green Lodging News. The newsletter and website focusing on environment-related issues is set to debut in the first half of 2006. Hasek Communications also announced this month that an article written by Glenn Hasek (“Opening a Hotel? Announcing a Renovation? Here are 10 Surefire Ways to Get the Publicity You Need to Get Heads in Beds”) will be published later this year in a textbook titled “Marketing Leadership in Hospitality: Foundations and Practices, 4th edition.”
