| January 31, 2006 - Two promotions within the Sales and Marketing Team
of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts (MH&R) were announced at the
International Sales & Marketing Conference in Paris: Heiko Siebert
and Francis Bertrand were appointed Vice President Distribution and Vice
President Sales Europe respectively.
German-born Heiko Siebert (41) joined Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts as Director Reservations and Revenue Management in July 2001. His duties include the management of the MH&R reservations system, running the reservations offices both in Switzerland and abroad, supervising and developing the www.moevenpick-hotels.com web site, and analysing and integrating new reservation technologies. All the reservations channels have recorded huge growth rates over the past few years. Heiko Siebert is to assume his duties as Vice President Distribution with immediate effect. Also promoted was Frenchman Francis Bertrand (42), who now holds the position of Vice President Sales Europe. Francis Bertrand began his career with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in June 1999 as Regional Sales Director and was responsible for the extremely productive European Sales Team. With his broad network of contacts he has in-depth knowledge of the international markets and is a key player in the international hotel chain�s accelerating sales drive.
