MEMPHIS, Tenn., February 13, 2006—Hampton,
the national brand of
more
than 1,300 mid-priced Hampton Inn® and Hampton Inn &
Suites® hotels, has opened 13 new properties representing
1,028 new rooms in December 2005 and January 2006.The
13 new openings, all franchised and newly constructed hotels, include
seven
Hampton Inn hotels and six Hampton Inn & Suites.In
addition to the new openings, Hampton
also broke ground on 17 new hotels in the past two months.
“We are
thrilled with the opening of four
new Hampton Inn & Suites properties in Florida,”said Phil
Cordell, senior vice-president, Hampton Brand
Management.“With
these new openings our brand has reached a total number of 108 hotels
in
the state; reaffirming Florida as
the state with the largest number of Hampton
hotels.”
The next
step for Hampton is the introduction of their new bedding package
featuring
a crisp, white duvet cover, enveloping a plush comforter with 200
thread
count white sheets and the guest’s choice of down or foam jumbo size
pillows.The
new bedding package will be available in all hotels by year end 2006.
