MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Feb. 22, 2006 -- Embassy Suites Hotels recognized its top hotels during an awards ceremony at the brand's annual General Manager and Directors of Sales conference, held in Austin, Texas, February 18-22. More than 40 awards were presented to hotels chosen from the brand's portfolio of more than 180 hotels throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America. "Each of our hotels and their team members work extremely hard to deliver the ultimate in guest satisfaction for which the Embassy brand is known," said David Greydanus, senior vice president, brand management, Embassy Suites Hotels. "Everything they do -- from providing a hot, cooked to order breakfast each morning to a comfortable bed for travelers each night, and highly valued services in between that enable guests to be more productive -- helps ensure guest loyalty. We are pleased to honor the Embassy Suites Hotels that epitomize what our brand is all about -- guest satisfaction and a high level of customer service."

The Connie Awards, named in honor of company founder Conrad Hilton, are awarded based on three key components, including: quality assurance audits measuring cleanliness, condition and brand standards; customer scores rating staff service; and customer service scores rating the quality of the hotel's physical accommodations. The top three hotels to receive Connie Awards included:

  • Embassy Suites Hotel - Lubbock, Texas
  • Embassy Suites Hotel - North Charleston-Airport/Convention Center, SC
  • Embassy Suites Hotel - Portland-Downtown, Ore.
