The 125-room Holiday Inn Express Midtown-Fifth Avenue Represents
the First Property in New York City for the Holiday Inn Express Brand
ATLANTA (Oct. 4, 2005) – InterContinental Hotels Group announced today that the new 125-room Holiday Inn Express Midtown-Fifth Avenue recently opened, representing another addition to the mid-scale brand’s portfolio of limited-service hotels and its further expansion into U.S. urban markets. 

The Holiday Inn Express Midtown-Fifth Avenue is owned by MG 45 LLC & MG-45 Operating, LLC and managed by Magna Hospitality Group, L.C., under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group and is located at 15 West 45th St., New York, N.Y. Telephone: (212) 302-9088. 

This project marks the Holiday Inn Express brand's first foray into the largest metropolitan area in the U.S, New York City.  The new hotel reflects an increasing demand for new mid-tier hotels in large urban markets or large cities, and the brand's development strategy to increase its presence in urban markets it does not currently serve.

The Holiday Inn Express Midtown-Fifth Avenue boasts modern décor throughout the lobby and guestrooms with deep mahogany accents and offers a variety of other amenities such as a business center, 24-hour front desk, express checkout, in-room video checkout, same day laundry and valet and currency exchange.  

Guests of the Holiday Inn Express Midtown-Fifth Avenue will be able to take advantage of the Stay Smart® experience which is unique to the Holiday Inn Express brand of hotels.  The Holiday Inn Express Midtown-Fifth Avenue will offer the brand’s hallmark features including the Express Start® breakfast bar, which has re-defined the meaning of "free" breakfast bars, Smart Roast® In-Room Coffee, Smart ConnectSM Telecommunications, Priority Club® Rewards and the SimplySmart™shower, which is raising the bar on guest expectations of a hotel shower experience. 

There are nearly 25 Holiday Inn Express hotels with more than 2,000 guestrooms in the state of New York with the addition of the Holiday Inn Express Midtown-Fifth Avenue.
