Rebranded Crowne Plaza St. Louis-Clayton |
ATLANTA (Oct. 21, 2005) - InterContinental Hotels Group announced today the opening of its newest 255-room Crowne Plaza hotel in St. Louis, Mo. The Crowne Plaza St. Louis-Clayton is Missouri's second Crowne Plaza hotel. "This is the 15th property to be added to the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts portfolio in North America this year," said Kevin Kowalski, vice president, brand management, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts. Formerly the landmark Radisson Hotel Clayton, the Crowne Plaza St. Louis-Clayton is an eight-story hotel that has just completed renovations to all guestrooms. The hotel is owned and managed by Bemiston Carondelet Corporation. A new $8.5 million Executive Tower was also recently added to the property. "This property has been a landmark in downtown Clayton for many years," said Rna Whitnah, general manager. Guests can enjoy the hotel's indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center,
complimentary business center and kid's arcade. Max's Bar & Grill,
the hotel's restaurant, features casual American cuisine seven days a week
for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Crowne Plaza St. Louis-Clayton has
more than 21,000 sq.-ft. of function space including 14 meeting rooms accommodating
up to 700 guests, and an exquisite 8,000 sq.-ft. Top-of-the-Tower Crystal
Ballroom.
Centrally located in the heart of downtown Clayton and easily accessible
to all major highways in the area, the property is within walking distance
to several restaurants, entertainment venues and boutique shops. The world-famous
Gateway Arch, as well as the zoo, art museum, science center and spectacular
golf courses are also just minutes away.
