Benchmark Appoints Tom Murray Conference Center
Manager at Downtown Conference Center, Manhattan

NEW YORK, November 2005�Benchmark Hospitality International, based in The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, has announced the appointment of Tom Murray as conference center manager for the Downtown Conference Center, located at 157 William Street in lower Manhattan. 

Ellen L. Sinclair, vice president for Benchmark, made the announcement saying, "It is with great pleasure that I announce Tom's appointment as conference center manager for the Downtown Conference Center.  This is a well-deserved promotion and we congratulate him on this new assignment!"

Tom Murray was previously the conference center manager for Pfizer Conference Center, located in Midtown Manhattan, which is managed by Benchmark.  He will continue to oversee the management of this facility, which serves Pfizer exclusively, while assuming his new role at the Downtown Conference Center.

Until September 11, 2001, Mr. Murray was employed by Benchmark at the World Trade Institute Conference Center, which was located at One World Trade Center.  This facility later reopened at the Williams Street location as the Downtown Conference Center.

Murray began his employment with Benchmark as director of restaurants at The Forrestal in Princeton, New Jersey, which the company managed at the time.

Tom Murray is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor's Degree in English and Philosophy.  He and his family reside in Lincroft, New Jersey. 

The Downtown Conference Center (www.downtownmeetings.com), managed by Benchmark Hospitality International and owned by Pace University, is located on seven floors of 157 William Street in lower Manhattan, New York City.
