SHANGHAI, China, Nov. 8, 2005 - Regent International Hotels today announced
the opening of its first luxury hotel in China. The Regent Shanghai, with
its spectacular architecture and design, premier location and world-class
facilities, is Shanghai's newest luxury landmark.
 The
511-room hotel is owned by Summit Property Development Co. and managed
by Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific. Norman Rafelson, General Manager of The
Regent Shanghai, said: "As a major regional gateway city and the
