Noel E. Ferguson Promoted to La Quinta’s SVP of Human Resources


Dallas (Nov. 2, 2005) – La Quinta Corporation announces that Noel E. Ferguson has been promoted to senior vice president of human resources reporting to David L. Rea, La Quinta’s president and chief operating officer.  Mr. Ferguson will have responsibility for all aspects of the company’s human resources including employment, training, compensation, benefits, employee relations and organizational development.  In addition, the public relations and communications function will also report to him.

“This promotion recognizes the accomplishments Noel has made in helping build a stronger human resources team to better serve our employees,” said Mr. Rea.  Mr. Ferguson joined La Quinta in 2003.  Prior to joining the company, he was a consultant focusing on human resources and entrepreneurial ventures.  From 1985 to 1996 he served in various positions for Marriott International including senior vice president, human resources and quality programs for Host Marriott Services Corporation.
