|Lakeway, TX (November 15, 2005) – Groundbreaking ceremonies today marked
the start of the expansion and renovation of the legendary Lakeway Inn

the ceremony plans were unveiled to transform the current property into
a full service, four-star resort & spa, slated for a May 2006 completion.
Plans were unveiled for a complete redevelopment of the resort including
a grand lobby entrance, an upgrade of 168 guest rooms which includes the
creation of 16 spa guestrooms construction of a 5,200 square-foot glass
windowed ballroom jetting out over Lake Travis offering spectacular views,
a redesign of the Travis Restaurant and a 5,500 square-foot state-of-the-art

a children’s pool featuring a “mountain slide.” A kid’s camp facility
will also be added. Capping off the breathtaking plans is the creation

go to market in early 2007. The resort will also offer lakefront swimming
access with pedestrian paths connecting Lake Travis to the resort.
The much-anticipated event kicked-off with a special ceremony that included remarks from Andy Dolce, CEO and founder of Dolce International. “We are thrilled to be back at Lakeway and partner with Behringer Harvard to realize our shared vision of a premier Texas Resort and Conference Destination.”
“The new resort will not only grow our conference clientele, but will also attract families and vacationers like no other destination in Central Texas,” explained Dolce.
“This property is important to us not only from a business perspective, but from a very personal level,” Dolce said at the groundbreaking. “The success of this project will be in large part due to the high level of community participation and support we have sought.”
Dolce International returned as Lakeway’s management company, after Behringer Harvard Investments of Dallas acquired the resort in January 2005 and brought in Dolce to oversee the renovation and management of the property. Dolce previously managed Lakeway Inn from 1985 until 2002.
The architect and design team responsible for the extensive transformation are: Lake Flato Architects of San Antonio and Susman Tisdale Gayle of Austin, Texas. Lakeway Inn will remain open during the entire renovation.
