Ramesys Holdings to Integrate
and Re-brand as RedSky IT
December 13, 2005 - In line with its strategy to maximize on its position as a leading software application company, Ramesys Holdings has sold its education business for an undisclosed sum and is fully integrating its three remaining application software businesses.  The new organization, which brings together the hospitality and travel, retail and construction businesses, will be re-branded RedSky IT.  RedSky IT will have revenues of $52m, employ over 350 employees and have more than 30 years’ experience in the IT industry.

“This is a real win:win for all concerned.  Our education business is largely involved in IT services and software fulfillment to schools with a different model to our application focused businesses.  By making this decision, we can focus on maximizing our position as a leading application software business," says Gordon Matthew, CEO of RedSky IT, formerly Ramesys Holdings.

Within the hospitality sector, Ramesys is best known in the U.K. and U.S. for its Entirety product – a fully integrated property management system providing increased revenue to hospitality organizations, added control and efficiency in operation and improved service to paying guests.  Entirety Property Management System (PMS) has been designed to fulfill the requirements of any size of hotel organization, from a single operation to chains of all sizes with the scope for further growth.  Entirety provides a unified approach offering the unparalleled ability to control inventory in one location.  With total integration from head office to property level, its single image architecture allows staff to always have access to real-time chain-wide information on rate, availability, hotel information and reservations, regardless of where they are within the organization.

RedSky IT has also developed and maintained leading positions in its other main vertical markets and is the leading IT provider to the construction sector and a top supplier to the retailing and manufacturing supply chain.

By bringing together its three main operating divisions into one organization, RedSky IT is now looking to further maximize on its market leadership positions.

“We are consolidating these software businesses to form one fully integrated business with more scale and potential for growth.  By integrating these individual businesses into a single organization, we will be able to combine our capabilities and strengths, and apply best practice across our company in critical business areas to improve our solutions and the quality of service we provide,” concludes Mr Matthew.

Ramesys Hospitality, soon to be RedSky IT, began supplying property management systems to the US military in the early 1980s.  It is now one the world’s leading suppliers of IT solutions focused on hotel chains of all size and type with installations at over 4,000 properties.  It is particularly strong in hotel chain rollouts and in the independent hotel sector where the company supports around 800 properties nationwide.  Ramesys Hospitality is headquartered in New Jersey, where it houses a 24-hour, seven day a week telephone support desk.
