International Leadership Series in the U.S.
|NEW YORK (December 9, 2005) – The Leading Hotel Schools of the World,
a joint venture of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. and a number of
hospitality institutions from around the world, will launch its international
Leadership Seminar series in the United States in February 2006.
Scheduled to take place in New York City from February 27 through March 1, 2006, the program will provide management professionals at all levels with a forum in which to discuss and explore the latest trends in recruiting, training, and motivating staff.
Just some of the topics to be addressed are “Standards & Service”, Building High-Performance Teams”, “Employee Engagement Strategies”, and “Leading through Change.”
Among the illustrious speakers and panelists on the agenda are David McMillan, chief executive officer, International Hotel & Restaurant Association; Rick Garlick, director of consulting and strategic implementation, Maritz Research; Susy Roberts and Colin Hunter of Hunter Roberts, a top human resources development consultancy; Greg Hill, labor council chair of the American Hotel and Lodging Association; and Trent Walsh, managing director, Leading Quality Assurance.
Commenting on the upcoming program, Kim Moffitt Hehir, vice president of strategic planning for The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd., said, “The Leadership Seminar series was launched last Fall in Europe with great success. The second seminar will address a variety of global concerns such as Best Practices, Building High Performance Teams and Quality Assurance as well as more focused breakout sessions on Union Negotiations and Conflict Resolution.”
The event, to be held at the New York Palace Hotel, is open both to members of The Leading Hotels of the World, as well as to anyone interested in exploring aspects of maximizing human resources potential within their own organizations.
The cost is USD 975 per person, and includes all business functions, social events, and meals. Airfare, hotel accommodations and incidentals are not included.
