Senate Hospitality Group Selected to Manage the Proposed Riverwalk
Resort and Convention Center in Orange Beach, Alabama

Orange Beach, Alabama, September 28, 2005 – Riverwalk Orange Beach is pleased to announce Senate Hospitality Group (SHG) has been chosen to manage the Riverwalk Resort and Convention Center.  

SHG has an extensive background in hospitality and entertainment management with over 125 years of experience in the industry.  They have been involved in the creation and development of over 75 hotels and resorts that are ranked by AAA as 3 Star and above.  They also managed the majority of these hotels and resorts.  These venues include: The World Golf Village Resort – PGA Hall of Fame, Chateau on the Lake in Branson, Missouri, Gaylord Resort Hotels in Orlando and Texas, Gaylord Opryland in Tennessee and Caribbean Resorts. 

SHG’s management team has also been a leader in developing major brands such as: Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn.  Brands managed by Senate Hospitality include: Gaylord Resorts, Renaissance by Marriott, Marriott, Radisson, Hilton Hotels, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn and Suites, Sheraton, Westin and Island Resorts.  Senate Hospitality has managed individual hotels and resorts each of which posts annualized revenues of $3 million to $250 million, 100 to 2,900 guest rooms and 10,000 to 600,000 square feet of meeting/convention space.

Construction will begin soon on the Riverwalk Resort and Convention Center.  The resort will include 684 units, a fitness center, spa, swimming pools and concierge services.  The Convention Center is expected to be approximately 68,000 square feet.  The development also includes Gulf World Marine Park, a Water Park, 450 unit Water Park Resort, Marina and approximately 300,000 square feet of retail and restaurants.
