Kevin Stuessi Named SVP of Food & Beverage for the W Las Vegas Hotel, Casino;
Project Will Have 20+ Unique Restaurants, Lounges and Nightclub Outlets
.
September 23, 2005 - Veteran hospitality executive Kevin Stuessi has joined the Edge Resorts team, which is developing the recently announced W Las Vegas Hotel, Casino and Residences in partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide . As Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage and Strategic Development he will be responsible for designing the $1.7 billion property's dining and nightlife venues.

"Kevin brings a level of expertise and credibility that perfectly matches the status and style of the destination we are creating here in Las Vegas," says Reagan Silber, a principal with Edge Resorts.

Stuessi will oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations for W Las Vegas, which opens in 2008. The project will boast a mix of more than 20 unique restaurant, lounge and nightclub outlets. Stuessi will create and implement a culinary program showcasing an impressive array of high profile restaurateurs, chefs and nightlife operators throughout the hotel and residences.

Since 1992, Stuessi has played a key role in the culinary evolution of Las Vegas. Prior to joining the W Las Vegas team, he served as Vice President of Food & Beverage at Wynn Las Vegas, where he handpicked an international team of culinary experts to develop that property's renowned food and beverage program. By integrating exceptional design with innovative dining experiences at Wynn, Stuessi once again raised the level of dining in Las Vegas -- a town Bon Appetit Magazine recently named one of America's top five restaurant cities.

Prior to joining Wynn Las Vegas, he was Vice President of Food Service Planning for Mirage Resorts, Inc., now a part of MGM Mirage, where he worked closely with Stephen Wynn to create the extraordinary restaurants and lounges at the company's flagship property, Bellagio, as well as drive the food and beverage innovations at the company's other resorts. Stuessi's background in food and beverage began by working for culinary icons Wolfgang Puck at Spago Las Vegas and Jeremiah Tower at Stars in San Francisco.

W Las Vegas will be located on 21 prime acres in the Harmon Corridor. It will embrace the stylish signature comforts W is renowned for, including striking architecture, innovative restaurants, exhilarating nightlife and a destination spa.

The project encompasses a mix of hotel, condo-hotel, and residential units, offering owners a combination of poolside cabanas, studios, one and two bedroom condominiums with the benefits of being attached to a W Hotel. Owners will have full use of the property's facilities and amenities, as well as access to maid service, 24-hour room service and concierge services. Units will go on sale in late 2005.
