TORONTO, ON, July 4, 2005 - Choice Hotels Canada Inc. (CHC) has appointed
Tim Oldfield to the position of Senior Director of Sales and Marketing.
Oldfield joins CHC with over 14 years in the tourism industry.
His new role will have him overseeing all sales and marketing efforts for over 280 hotels across Canada. His responsibilities will include the sales efforts for all markets including travel industry, corporate, group and tour, sports teams and associations. As well, he will be responsible for all national and regional marketing programs, including overseeing the four regional marketing programs run by CHC. �Tim is a great addition to the Choice Hotels family,� said Mike Jackson, President Choice Hotels Canada. �His experience and knowledge in both the sales and marketing fields will be a tremendous addition that will impact positively on our licensees and company as a whole.� Oldfield joins CHC with a significant depth in both sales and marketing experience that he gained in the car rental industry. Most recently he spent four years as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Thrifty Rental Car. In this role he was responsible for the sales and marketing efforts of both corporate and franchised operations across Canada. Choice Hotels Canada Inc.
