ATLANTA, GA (July 11, 2005) - Canada's first Microtel Inn & Suites
property will break ground on Bowes Street in Parry Sound, Ontario on July
14th. The hotel is owned by Ontarinns, Inc. of Toronto, and will
be built by W.S. Morgan Construction of Parry Sound. The Microtel
Inn & Suites is located off the Trans Canada Highway 400 at exit 224,
and is expected to open in April 2006. Parry Sound is in the heart
of the 30,000 Islands of Georgian Bay, 140 miles north of Toronto.
Microtel Inns & Suites is the all newly-constructed, budget/economy chain with 275 hotels open or under construction worldwide. The brand prides itself in offering quality accommodations at a value price, without extra charges for unwanted amenities. Hotels have a residential appeal and are consistent, meaning that guests will find the same great hotel everywhere they go. According to Mike Leven, president and CEO of US Franchise Systems, Inc. The hotel is located nearby several golf courses, snow mobile trails and West Parry Sound Health Center, and less than two miles from Georgian Bay, Island Queen Cruise, Stockey Performing Arts Center and Bobby Orr Hockey Hall of Fame. For the third consecutive year, Microtel has been ranked highest in guest satisfaction among economy/ budget hotel chains by J.D. Power and Associates.
