Hotwire.com and Aspireb Launch Hotel Revenue Management Education Program in Cities Across U.S. and Europe |
Phoenix, AZ July 6,
2005 Discount travel site Hotwire.com has teamed up with Phoenix-based
Aspire, to launch their groundbreaking Revenue Management educational program
designed to foster cooperative partnerships with hotels and resorts around
the world. Thirteen cities are currently scheduled (see schedule
below) with more to come.
Hotwire.com Revenue Improvement Powered by Aspire is designed for hotel and resort revenue/reservation managers, general managers, directors of sales and marketing, owners and the like. The Hotwire program will utilize Aspires expertise in the area of revenue maximization/management and will provide education on how to make more money by optimizing occupancy holes, using the Hotwire channel to create trial, how to increase ancillary revenue from a Hotwire opaque booking, and how to convert a Hotwire guest to a hotel guest in the future. When Hotwire approached us to create a unique revenue learning program for them, we asked them to define the challenges they faced and what they anticipated for the future, states Renie Cavallari, founder of Aspire. Together we created an innovative, one-of-a-kind program that helps hotels and resorts strategically capture the price-focused Hotwire customer and ultimately make the guest a customer for life. From the beginning, Hotwire recognized the value of this type of education based on their absolute commitment to long-term client relationship building. Opaque distribution through Hotwire can be a powerful tool to drive occupancy and RevPAR any time hotels have empty rooms, stated Stephen Fitzgerald, Vice President Hotel Relations and Operations for Hotwire. Although business conditions are dramatically better this year, most hotels still need to ensure a fill on peak nights, replace early departures or dropped group blocks, and of course build business during shoulder periods. We have worked closely with Aspire to distill some key pointers for success into a four hour program that allows revenue managers, sales directors, general managers anyone who controls revenues - to apply and see results right away. Hotwire Revenue Improvement
