Singapore, 11th July 2005 - Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc (NYSE: HOT) continues its aggressive expansion momentum in China with the signing of two new hotels : Four Points by Sheraton Changshu and Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong.

We are thrilled about the choice location of our new hotels in Changshu and Shanghai, said Miguel Ko, President, Starwood Asia Pacific.  The signing of these two new properties will further strengthen the Four Points by Sheraton brands presence in China. We are honored to partner with Changshu Yukun Real Estate Investment Company Limited and Shanghai You You International Plaza Company Limited to establish these two new hotels, which will be excellent additions to our portfolio in China and in Asia Pacific.  Four Points by Sheraton addresses a defined market segment, that of travelers who choose to lodge in upper-midscale hotels with an international brand and standards, and with a wide range of services at convenient rates and this clearly sets a difference from our competitors, added Ko.

1. Four Points by Sheraton Changshu

Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Changshu Yukun Real Estate Investment Company Limited signed an agreement whereby Starwood will manage the new-build Four Points by Sheraton Changshu in Jiangsu province.  The hotel is scheduled to open in mid-2007.

Four Points by Sheraton Changshu will be located within a mixed-use development consisting of the hotel in one tower, and retail and residential apartments in the other two towers, near the city center of Changshu, also known as one of the top 3 cities nationwide in terms of competitiveness in attracting foreign investment.  The hotel will be proximate to government buildings, banks, residential areas and manufacturing plants and will feature 340 rooms, 11,900 square feet of meeting space, three dining outlets, a health club and spa, an indoor swimming pool and a business center.

Changshu is located strategically in the southeast of Jiangsu Province, right at the Yangtze River Delta and offers travelers abundant tourism resources in addition to its long history and rich cultural heritage.   Nearly 2,000 foreign investment entities have set up in Changshu Economic Development Zone with an accumulative foreign capital investment of USD11 billion, and visitors arrival to Changshu has grown at an annual rate of at least 30% since 2004.
