at MSI; Promoted to Chief Scientist, Warring Will Direct Future Products for MSI |
PHOENIX AUGUST 3, 2005 Multi-Systems Inc.
(MSI), the hospitality industrys leading provider of fully integrated
property-management and marketing systems has promoted Ted Warring to the
position of Chief Scientist. Based on his valuable contributions
to MSIs product line, Warring has advanced progressively since joining
the Development team in 1997.
Teds latest projects, Sales Driver and the MSI data migration tool, have been extremely well received by our customers and warrant this promotion, said Chuck Haaker, MSI VP of System Architecture. Sales Driver is MSIs new software designed to streamline workflow and accountability for limited service properties, and the one button data migration tool has enabled the transfer from DOS to a Windows based system with virtually no interruptions. He has already taken on most of the responsibilities of Chief Scientist for MSI, and as we move forward, Ted will be instrumental in making recommendations for growing our systems portfolio and providing technical guidance as we move into new technologies, Haaker said. Warrings 20-plus years experience in computer science, artificial intelligence research and business automation software development provide him with a strong foundation for advancing the MSI product line, Haaker added. In the Chief Scientist role, Warring will continue as lead technician on the WinSam product (MSIs multi-tiered program that offers extensive Account, Sales and Catering tools seamlessly integrated with MSIs WinPM property-management system), as well as serve as team leader and technical advisor on other projects. He also will spearhead the development team as they focus on advanced systems that positively impact hoteliers bottom lines. I am proud to be part of a highly capable team as we take on the challenges of next generation technology, Warring said. As we review newer technologies, I will focus on setting the hospitality industry standards for yield management tools. Rick Munson, MSI President, said he too is proud to have Warring as a part of the MSI family. Ted is a great combination of technologist and business man, Munson said. He brings to MSI the ability to communicate in laymen's terms the benefits of new technology developments and how it can help our customers maximize their businesses. We are thrilled to have such a qualified person as part of our technology team. About MSI
