One-of- a-Kind 1924 Wurlitzer Organ Returns
as a Focal Point for the Hotel

Staunton, VA - August 1, 2005 - Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Inc. today announced that the newly restored and expanded Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center in Staunton, VA, is on schedule for its reopening this September.

The Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center is a historic property located in Staunton, in the heart of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.   Named for General Stonewall Jackson, the hotel originally opened in 1924.  The property, which is owned by the Persinger family and Armada Hoffler, is undergoing a complete renovation and expansion to historically preserve its charm while providing modern guest amenities, accommodations and services. The architecturally significant hotel was originally designed by architect H.L. Stevens.

One of the key historical and sentimental features of the hotel is its 1924 Wurlitzer Organ, which is a one-of-a-kind musical instrument.  The organ, which graced the Hotel's Colonnade Ballroom for three quarters of a century, has been precisely restored to its original condition and tone.  It is reinstalled in its place of honor overlooking the Colonnade Ballroom.

"The Colonnade Ballroom enjoys a unique place in Shenandoah Valley history having been the center for the area's social scene for many years," said, Carol Simon, General Manager of the Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center.  "We look forward to hearing the organ's delightful music for special celebrations such as weddings and holiday parties, as well as during our Sunday Brunch for our guest's enjoyment," added Simon.
