the hospitality industry�s leading owner/operators of upscale and premium
branded hotels, has announced that Marcia K. Sheats has been selected as
Director of Group Sales and Rebecca Ivanov has been named the Director
of Room Operations for its new downtown Winston-Salem Marriott Hotel, Embassy
Suites Hotel and Benton Convention Center complex named the Twin City Quarter.
Sheats has more than 20 years experience in the field of sales. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Sales Manager at the Embassy Suites/ Homewood Suites in Greensboro, NC. In addition to her most recent position, she has previously held the Director of Sales position at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in High Point, the Radisson Inn Greensboro, and the Stouffer Winston Plaza Hotel (Adam�s Mark Winston Plaza) in Winston-Salem. Sheats was also the Director of Association Development at Fisher-Harrison Publications in Washington, DC. In her new position Sheats is responsible for developing and implementing the total group sales effort of the hotel, including securing new group accounts, maintaining existing accounts, supervising daily activities of sales personnel, and executing sales strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction. Ivanov has previously held the position of Operations Manager at the Marriott Hotel in Greenville, South Carolina and Assistant General Manager at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Greenbelt, Maryland and in Charleston, West Virginia. �Marcia and Rebecca will make wonderful additions to our management team,� said Tim Loughman, Managing Director of the Twin City Quarter. �We are truly excited to have them on board with us.� Sheats earned her bachelors degree from the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee. She has also received specialized sales training on the Director Level from Stouffer Hotels and Resorts in Cleveland, Ohio and took part in the Stouffer Hotels Developmental Program in St. Louis, Missouri and Denver, Colorado. Ivanov received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Wisconsin in 2000. She is responsible for all Marriott Hotel day to day rooms department operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, At Your Service, Bellstand and guest satisfaction survey scores.
