2005 List Selected by Celebrity Panel of Elite Travelers and the Magazine's Editors

NEW YORK, Aug. 29, 2005 - While other travel magazines use the summer to announce their lists of top rated hotels and resorts, Elite Traveler, the worldwide luxury lifestyle magazine distributed onboard private
jets and mega-yachts, announced its selection of the 101 Most Decadent Suites in the World.

"Our readers are spending on average $147,000 this summer on hotels, resorts and spas, and in a typical stay, they take two suites and two regular rooms to accommodate their party," said Douglas Gollan, President and
Editor-in-Chief of Elite Traveler.  "Therefore the goal of our Pure Decadence feature is to showcase for these super wealthy travelers the best suites and villas in the world, no expenses spared."

Highlighting the enormous amount of money being spent by super rich private jet travelers, 14 suites featured by Elite Traveler cost over US$10,000 per night. They are:

-- The Presidential Suite #5102 at The Four Seasons New York ($15,000)
-- The Presidential Suite at The Mandarin Oriental New York ($12,595)
-- The Penthouse Suite at Hotel Victor Miami ($10,000)
-- The Chairman's Suite at The Venetian Las Vegas ($10,000)
-- The Penthouse Suite at The Fairmont San Francisco ($12,500)
-- The Royal Suite at The Dorchester Hotel London ($25,910)
-- La Belle Etoile Suite at Hotel Meurice Paris ($15,139)
-- The Peninsula Palace Suite at Elounda Peninsula Crete, Greece ($25,200)
-- Villa Terre Blanche at The Four Seasons Resort Provence, France ($11,340)
-- The Sean Connery Suite at The Intercontinental Carlton, France ($15,018)
-- The Royal Suite at The St. Regis Grand Hotel Rome, Italy ($14,382)
-- Hotel Cipriani in Venice, Italy ($10,271)
-- The Royal Suite at Burj Al Arab Dubai ($10,210)
-- The Palace Suite at Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi ($12,260)

"While $10,000 per night might seem like a lot of money, the fact is flying by private jet runs around $10,000 per hour for long-range private jets, so a reader flying from New York to Los Angeles is spending well over
$100,000 just getting there and back," Gollan noted. "For our readers, spending $10,000 is like buying a Starbucks coffee."

The hotels and resorts included in the issue were selected by the editors  of Elite Traveler in conjunction with a celebrity panel of elite travelers, including Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, President & CEO of Def Jam Recordings, Fashion Designer Roberto Cavalli, Jewelry Designer Neil Lane, Fashion Designer Tommy Hilfiger, Toyohiko Mikimoto, Chairman of Mikimoto Pearls, Franck Dubarry, Technomarine Watch Founder and Ferruccio Ferragamo, Ferragamo CEO. Criteria were that each suite had to provide a unique experience and the highest
standards of service. New and newly renovated suites were given priority.

Each of the suites and villas have numerous outstanding amenities, such as outdoor showers, private butler service, full saunas, private gyms, grand pianos, plunge pools and panoramic balconies. Among the most interesting features, The Presidential Suite at The Fairmont San Francisco and The 9 1/2 Weeks Suite at The Hillside Su Hotel in Antalya, Turkey both feature billiard rooms; The Peninsula Suite at The Peninsula Bangkok features direct access to the rooftop helipad, The Presidential Suite at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo has a sculpture by Isamu Noguchi and a Zen garden, The Dorchester's Royal Suite has its own screening room and The St. Regis Grand Hotel in Rome's Royal Suite boasts a private wine cellar.
