 Brent Loving Named Executive Chef at White Bluff Resort
on Lake Whitney, Texas
DALLAS (August 11, 2005) — Double Diamond Resorts today announced the addition of Brent Loving as Executive Chef at White Bluff Resort on Lake Whitney.  He joins White Bluff from Sodexho Corporate Services. Chef Loving has infused his “New World Fusion” cuisine into the menu at White Bluff Resort.  

One of Loving’s biggest accomplishments was his time spent at 8.0 Restaurant & Bar in Ft. Worth, where he was responsible for elevating its image as a premier dining venue.  For that he received accolades from Fort Worth Star Telegram and The Dallas Observer.  In his new role, Chef Loving will elevate the White Bluff dining experience, with his new philosophy of creativity and sensory enjoyment.  “I believe eating is a sensory pleasure and should do more than just satisfy the appetite.  You should be using all five senses to enjoy, savor and experience the food at its essence,” says Loving.  

Chef Loving, who graduated Culinary School in 1993 with a Food and Hospitality Services degree and his chef certification, has heightened the guest experience with his passion for cooking and creative flair.  Among some of Loving’s culinary stops are the Diamond Club & Restaurant at the Ameriquest Field in Arlington, Eatzi’s Market and Bakery and the now defunct Baby Routh Restaurant in Dallas, Texas.  

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Loving moved to Dallas, Texas in 1987 to attend culinary school.  In 1989, he enrolled at El Centro College in the American Culinary Federation accredited Chef’s apprenticeship program at the Westin Hotel Galleria-Dallas.  During his apprenticeship, Loving won silver and 2 bronze medals at the 1990 SYSCO International Food Show. 

Loving brings a wealth and breadth of experience to Double Diamond Companies and White Bluff Resort.  “Brent brings a great deal of passion and love of creating and cooking to White Bluff.  I look forward to his exciting culinary creations every time I am at the resort.  A chef of Brent’s caliber is a treat to find, and it is an honor working with him,” says Corporate Food & Beverage Director for Double Diamond, Kenneth Pyron.
