Andreas Ioannou Named General Manager of the
Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Aug. 16, 2005 -- Andreas Ioannou has been named general manager of the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Beach is a chic and innovative 333-unit condo-hotel endeavor scheduled to open summer 2006 under management by Hilton Hotels Corporation. A veteran Hilton team member for more than 16 years, Ioannou comes to Ft. Lauderdale from the Hilton Charlotte Center City, where he has been serving as general manager since 2002. His strong resort and operational background will help to secure this new property's success. 

Ioannou started his career with Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1989 with the Hilton New Orleans Riverside as a restaurant manager, and advanced through successive food and beverage positions at the Hilton Atlanta Airport, Fontainebleau Hilton Resort & Towers and Hilton McLean. In 1995, he became director of food & beverage for the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort; he also served as the food & beverage cluster lead for the Hiltons of Florida. In 1998, he became executive assistant manager of the Fontainebleau Hilton, and in 1999 he was promoted to the resident manager's position at the legendary Waldorf=Astoria(R) in New York City. In 2002, he was named general manager of the Hilton Charlotte Center City. 

A native of Nicosia, Cyprus, Ioannou received both his MBA and his Bachelor of Science degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism administration at the University of New Orleans, Louisiana. Ioannou has served on the boards of the Hospitality & Tourism Alliance, YMCA and Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra in Charlotte, NC, and served as President of the Charlotte Area Hotel Association. 

In his new position, Ioannou will oversee the completion of this 25-story luxurious resort as well as its day-to-day operation. The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, also known as the Q Club Resort and Residences, offers a selection of designer furnished and elegantly appointed studios, suites and one, two and three bedroom residences with impeccable features and amenities. Each guest room will feature breathtaking views, imported marble flooring, baths and vanity tops, European custom cabinetry, kitchenettes as well as high-speed internet, flat screen televisions, washer and dryer. The resort will offer a spectacular pool deck located on the sixth floor overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with private poolside cabanas, a luxurious spa, superb dining, exclusive upscale retail and stylish cafes.
