the Swans Suite Hotel Completes Refurbishment |
.
MAY 9, 2005 - Swans Suite Hotel Victorias Art Hotel, has undergone extensive renovations to become an upscale boutique hotel. This 1913 heritage building of exterior flowers and sunny yellow bricks, along with an interior of oak floors, brick walls, vaulted ceilings and incredibly eclectic original art and First Nations collection, has been a beloved Victoria institution for the past 16 years. In 2000, the late Michael C. Williams, developer and owner of Swans Suite Hotel, left all of Swans and one of the largest, privately-owned art collections in western Canada to the University of Victoria. His tradition of providing a stunning backdrop to Swans with the majority of his extensive collection of 1,600 West Coast and First Nations paintings, sculptures, furniture and antiques will be maintained while the renovations create an ideal canvas for display of the Collection. Swans consists of 29 large, spacious hotel suites, one magnificent 3,000 square foot Penthouse, a Wine & Beer Shoppe, Buckerfields Brewery, the Wild Saffron Bistro and, of course, the heart and soul of Swans the Brewpub. The newly renovated hotel suites are truly stunning. The majority are loft style suites with the bedrooms overlooking the living area, they all have full kitchens including microwaves, feather duvets, and Juliet balconies or flower-filled terraces, and original art and antique pieces throughout. New king-size beds, high quality bedding and linens, new furnishings, bathrooms, carpets, lighting, flooring and amenities have all been added. If youve ever wanted to reside in a sunny Italian piazza, heres your chance. In addition to the new decor, Swans has also increased service levels with a larger Front Desk/Concierge team and many other personalized touches which all add to the elegant ambience. |
